Chris Walker Innerwealth You have every right to ask what does this image, the image I use on my corporate page, have to do with corporate life? It’s a picture of me in the high Himalayas on one of the 50 trips that I have taken executives on in order to make them aware of the importance of bringing nature into their working life. Nepal is a long way away, not everybody can get to that magnificent place where they recognise the power of nature and how much it changes people. Truly, people are different in nature, and it’s my mission and maybe yours to bring nature into your corporate culture. The benefits are infinite. Bringing nature into your corporate culture resolves many of the underlying an unspoken impediments to good human relations, productivity and well-being at work.

So the image might be a little abstract but in reality bringing the spirit of these mountains to your organisation might be one of the greatest assets your culture could embrace.

Over the course of 30 years guiding groups of people up into these Himalayas my consulting firm has been able to transform the lives and the businesses of thousands of people. We believe that if we can change one heart we can change the world. The connection with nature is very heart driven connection and this, woven into the corporate culture, changes lives and business’.

We’ve had the opportunity to bring nature into corporate cultures in diverse organisations: the federal government of Canada, indigenous community leadership, Fortune 500 companies, thousands of small entrepreneurial businesses and to the lives of many thought leaders throughout the planet. It’s hard to summarise the benefits of bringing nature back into people’s lives. We run through it, we take holidays in it, we relax when we are around it but when we go to work quite often we are separate from it and it’s in that separation that the mind splits from the body and soul and causes untold emotional and personal trouble. Of course, that trouble extends into product and services. So our commitment to bring nature into corporate cultures is to work in partnership with stakeholders within organisations.

This is more than bringing pot plants into offices. Moreover, it’s about the way people think. Even if we sit in nature but we think in desperation we will not be connected and the benefits of nature will not flow through. So integrating nature into a corporate culture is more than just awareness. We share natures principles and demonstrate how these could make decision making, interpersonal relationships, leadership, personal balance and wellness simpler and more effective. Our aim is to send people home from work with more energy than they left with in the morning. No matter how hard people try it is only through this nature-based cultural addition that this objective can be met and we guarantee to invest ourselves fully in helping you integrate nature into your corporate culture.
